General Discipline

GENERAL DISCIPLINE

Students are always required to observe order and silence in the college, especially during working hours. They are forbidden to take any active part in political agitation against the authority. Organizing meetings, collecting money for any purpose, or conducting entertainment within the college premises without permission is strictly prohibited. Students are also not allowed to circulate notices, affix posters, or display materials on the college walls without prior approval.

Ragging in any form, both inside and outside the campus, is a criminal offense as per the Kerala Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1998. Any student found guilty of ragging will be expelled. Mobile phone usage is strictly banned on campus, and teachers have the authority to confiscate phones in case of violations. Proper waste management must be followed, and all individuals must use designated waste bins and napkin burners.

Misusing social media to defame the institution will attract legal and disciplinary action. Mass bunking of classes is considered an offense and will be dealt with strictly. The academic calendar is designed to maximize working days, ensuring quality education. Annual fee payment must be made on the first day of June each academic year, and delays will attract fines. The college is not responsible for delays in the next academic year due to postponed university exams.

Students must conduct themselves professionally. In case of stress, they can seek help from university-trained student counselors. Wearing a clean uniform along with an identity card is mandatory. For practical classes, students must wear a neat apron and carry prescribed laboratory records and accessories. Checking the college notice board daily is advised. Students bringing food from home can use designated classrooms, but eating in laboratories, verandas, or staircases is prohibited. Visitors are not allowed without prior permission from the principal. Internet usage should be strictly for academic purposes, and misuse may result in severe penalties.

RULES RELATED TO ATTENDANCE, LEAVE OR ABSENCE

Students must be punctual for lectures and practical classes, maintaining at least 80% attendance. They should be in the classroom five minutes before class begins, and absentees will be noted. No student shall be absent without a valid reason. Leave requests must be submitted in advance, specifying the reason, duration, and dates. In unavoidable cases where prior approval is not possible, students must communicate the reason at the earliest opportunity.

Attending all seasonal examinations, both theory and practical, as per the curriculum, is mandatory. Pharmacy courses are non-vocational, and students are not entitled to vacations or study leave unless declared by the Government or University. Attendance is also compulsory during extracurricular and co-curricular activities of the college.
